According to Columbus 2020, central Ohio has a unique data analytics landscape populated by dozens of businesses — from startups to mid-sized firms and corporate headquarters — across multiple industries.

Also, Ohio is projected to see a 22 percent increase in computer systems analyst jobs by 2022 (Ohio Bureau of Labor Market Information, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services)

To respond to this need, Ohio State University created a state-of-the-art data analytics program and undergraduate major. Majors specialize in biomedical informatics, business analytics or computational analytics in addition to core coursework.
